We all suffer a great loss.

Hello everybody. Today I feel as if I had lost a family member. As a matter of fact I did, I think we all did. We all felt Michael Jackson was a member of our families 'cause he's been in our hearts and minds always for the past 4 decades. His work has impacted show business. His music changed Pop forever, he really deserves to be called The King of Pop. When I heard the news I was eating with my family, having a nice time together when suddenly my younger sister calls me from New Jersey with the news. Wow!! It felt horrible. I almost cried. Told my wife and she felt the same way. We started talking about him, his music, remembering good times we had listening to "Beat it", or "Billie Jean". We finished eating and went straight home, started watching on TV a special about him and his music and videos. It's incredible the things he did, his vision, determination, his focus on being the best at what he did.

I learned a lot from his example. It is a big loss for the world. We have lost the only Superstar we had left. There are no more superstars, nope, not anymore, specially on the days we live in. The music that's being put out by record companies, the radio airplay, the videos on TV. Everything is now microwaved, pre-fabricated, no talent needed, no vision, no essence... None of the artists you see now will last more than a decade and will change nothing in music. I just don't see it, and it's sad. I really hope I'm wrong and that we can see another artist like Michael Jackson with real talent and passion for music.

I like most of his music. My favorites are "Billie Jean", "Human Nature", "Don't stop 'til you get enough", and "Man in the mirror", but most of his music is good and fun to listen to. I remember that when I was like eight or nine I had the "Thriller" jacket, ha ha ha!!
