Puya @ Redemption.

Hi everyone, it's been a while. I've been working a lot, thank God, on several projects and traveling with different artists. Everybody knows how difficult times are right now, and because of that I started traveling again, something that I had stopped doing due to that the studio was very busy. Now it has gone down a bit, and since recording software and gear has gotten so affordable nowadays, many artists get their own gear and do their thing from their living room. There will always be use for big studios, but the truth is that work has gone down considerably 'cause of this fact. People find themselves alone with Garageband and get their hands on their upcoming cd... ha ha ha!!! And then call a mix engineer to fix their asses up with protools... Wow... (Hey "B", you know what I'm talking about...)

Right now I'm working with the Metal band from Puerto Rico "Puya". Puya stopped touring around six years ago and each band member went on with their lives, but in the past year they got together again to do a few concerts in PR. The response of the people was very good so they decided to get together again a record some new songs. They came to the studio with four new songs to work. Two written and arranged by guitarist Ramón Ortíz, and two by Harold Hopkins the bass player for the band. The new project will include four new songs and two or three songs from live performances in PR. Everything was recorded at Redemption Studio. Once everything was done I took the sessions to Miami to mix with Bob St. John. Soon there will be tracks available for the public to hear and download. The new material sounds great. Wait until you can get it for yourself, you'll definitely enjoy it.

Enjoy the clip...
